This year we have begun posting our volunteer opportunities on www.volunteermatch.org and www.idealist.org. My questions to those using these sites and successfully obtain volunteers:

What are your lessons learned/best practices?
What is the protocol you take when someone is interested in volunteering (when you receive the email alert)? Is an application given? Interview?
