Hi Everyone,

I would like to hear from those of you who work in a museum or gallery connected with a college or university and have a student docent program.

What is the average length of service for the students?

                Do they receive academic credit?

How often are the training sessions?

Do you work primarily with graduate or undergraduate students?

Do you have a “traditional” docent corps as well?

Do the student docents tour selected exhibitions and only parts of the collection or do they tour the entire museum?

Any advice on this subject is welcome.

Thanks ,
