Our monthly (Oct - Apr) family event is free
and very popular. From the beginning, we have asked parents to pre-register.
Registration starts in August, and many will sign up their families for the
whole year. Once we get to 150 people for each event, we start a waiting list.
Each month, we send out a mass email (we cut and paste e-addresses into
Bcc) reminding families to cancel if they aren't attending, so those on the
waiting list can participate. Most are good about letting us know about
cancellations. This has worked very well for us and the families (and funder)
are happy.
