I apologize for any confusion from this email sent earlier today.  If you submitted resources to NAEA earlier this year, they will remain listed on the NAEA resource page.  If you do not remember, you can always check by selecting the pdf hyperlink below.  You do not need to submit the same resources again.  This call-out invites any new resources and new museums to join the already wonderful list.  We will call-out a few times each year for resources to be added to the growing list.  Thank you.

Dear Art Museum Educators,

We invite you to contribute to a list of museum resources featured on the NAEA web site.  Visit www.arteducators.org/learning/lesson-planning to view the variety of museum web links, curriculum, and lesson plans available to teachers.  Look for the pdf in the section labeled “MUSEUM RESOURCES” to see examples of web links currently available.  We would like to build upon this list and need your help.  Please read this information carefully. 

MUSEUM WEB LINKS – INFORMATION DUE SEPTEMBER 13, 2010

What web-based resources do you have for teachers?  This could be lesson plans, timelines, teaching materials, image banks, digital media (audio and video resources), and other resources your museum offers on your web site that may be valuable to K-12 educators. 

Follow these simple instructions and send your links by September 13:

o   Provide a brief general description (1-2 sentences) of your institution, highlighting what you are known for and any collection specialties.

o   Provide one or more web links for educators.  Please be sure to provide a URL that will take teachers directly to the resource mentioned, NOT to the museum’s home page. 

·        For each of these links, provide one sentence that describes the resource.

o   Please note these helpful guidelines:

·         All listings should be permanent and ongoing.  Do not list temporary sites.

·         List only online resources that could benefit teachers anywhere in the world.  Do not list tours and program information that is only available to local audiences. 

·         Do not list social networking or media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

·         List only a few links that serve as PORTALS to educational resources.  Provide links that lead teachers to the breadth of all of your institution’s resources.  Do not send a send a long list of links to individual resource units. 

o   Send all of the above to naea.teacher.resources@gmail.com by September 13.
