Hi there,
We are also a mainly outdoor museum who struggles with outdoor signage especially with our annual events!
What we have done is mostly chalkboard sandwich board sign, or a heavy laminated cardstock paper (which eats in to our expenses). We had invested in outdoor
signage holder that can withstand some rain but moisture still destroys them. Right now, we have move to banners and corrugated a frame sign with limited date and time so we can reuse for other events.
Any ideas/suggestions will be great too!
Thanks,

Aloha from Honolulu,
This is a photo of a sign used by our neighbor the Hawaii State Art Museum - a large sign with grommets in the middle to promote a one time event. This format could be adapted to different sizes and mounts.

Sara,
We print on durable cardstock and then heavily laminate. After that, they are taped (on the backside with heavy tape) to our a-frame sign holders and easily removed without
damage. In order to make signs usable for multiple years, we avoid printing years and specific times if we can help it. Of course, this is all program dependent and we still do our fair share of disposable, "one and done" signs. Looking forward to other
ideas!

Hi there,
For any of you that struggle with, or have miraculously solved the following, please share ideas, solutions, or suggestions (pictures would be great!). I’ll be happy to
consolidate and share back.
Problem: Posting special event signage throughout an outdoor living history museum that is attractive, affordable and reusable.
We currently create individual signage for almost every event. We print on waterproof, durable plastic cardstock and staple each sign to a wooden a-frame. It looks good
within the village setting, but it is expensive and wasteful as each sign is used for 1-2 days and then thrown away.
What do you use?
I look forward to any responses soon. Just about to head in to budgeting for 2018!
