Hello all,

We have an opening at the Hammer Museum for a full-time administrative position that is split between educational and curatorial initiatives. It’s a great opportunity for an emerging museum professional who would like experience in both areas. We are hoping to fill this position ASAP.

Curatorial Affairs Assistant

The Curatorial Affairs Assistant provides critical support to the Academic Programs and Curatorial Departments.

Works closely with the Academic Programs staff members on the development and implementation of educational programs. Assists in the development and management of logistics and tracking for educational programs and projects for K-12 school and external audiences. Duties include program recruitment, reports and evaluation, and scheduling community engagement activities. Supports the development of educational tours by providing research, administrative and logistical support for the execution of these programs.

Curatorial duties include assisting with recurring tasks such as inventorying and cataloging exhibition collateral, research and preparation for meetings, updating various archive and management tools for exhibitions and publications, letter preparation, special mailings, database management, rights and reproduction request fulfillment, and special projects, as needed.

Application: visit UCLA Career Opportunities and search the campus job openings for Requisition #29638. Please submit an online application as instructed. Due to the volume of resumes that we receive, we are regretfully unable to respond to phone calls and emails regarding the status of applications and the recruiting process.
