Fundraising—An Essential Element of Leadership in Museum Education

Are you hungry for knowledge and raring to make sure your education programs get the funding they need and deserve to thrive? Well, join FLAME (the Forum for Leadership in Art Museum Education) for this lunchtime program where you will learn critical and strategic components of how to lead through fundraising, donor relations, and philanthropy.

Moderated by Takema Robinson, Principal and Co-founder of Converge, a values-based consulting firm in New Orleans that supports community organizations, non-profits, philanthropic institutions, and government entities. Takema serves as the director of the Greater New Orleans Funders Network (GNOFN). Her philanthropic clients include Foundation for Louisiana, the Surdna Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.

The Forum for Leadership in Art Museum Education (FLAME) advances the public value and social impact of art museums by fostering leadership in art museum education. FLAME was initiated by a group of Directors/Heads of Education who were interested in developing a strong network of support and mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
