Unusual question about the space you work in

March 26th 2024 PDT

Hello Fellow Educators - I'm working on a project with a very unusual feature in the building, and wondering if anyone else has this feature, or knows of a place that does: The building is a mausoleum as well as an art gallery; two people are buried in one of the rooms there. Would love to have a chat with anyone else working in such a space, to find out about considerations, warnings necessary, and anything else. Thanks and Happy Tuesday - Claudia Claudia B. For larger special events, we use an external vendor for ticketing software, which provides us the option, or not, to pass on their service/CC fees to the purchaser. We typically pass on the fees. Those fees are something we take into consideration when pricing our event entry. For smaller events hosted by the Museum, we either run the purchases through our POS system, which automatically passes CC fees and taxes onto the purchaser, or run the purchase through our CRM software. Membership renewals, donations, etc a ...Continue Reading

Re: Credit card fees at museums?

March 19th 2024 PDT

Visitors rarely read the sign, so every ticket and store transaction all staff say the total sales amount and "we take cash or card; there's a 2.3% fee for card." We then wait for customers to decide their payment options ...Continue Reading
