First launched in 1999, ArtsConnectEd is a website that brings together online the collections of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Walker Art Center specifically for K-12 teachers and students in Minnesota and beyond. For the past three years the two museums have been working on a  complete redesign of ArtsConnectEd that takes advantadge of user-friendly Web 2.0 technology while meeting the diverse needs of museum educators.

Museum educators at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Walker Art Center can use new tools to develop content, share user contributed content, post announcements, and update ArtsConnectEd whenever they like -- all without waiting in line at the Tech Department door. 

MuseumEd hosted three free webinars in the summer of 2009 to introduce educators to the ArtsConnectEd project.
