Hello,

We just had a class called Mah Jongg at the museum and with their participation, we gave them a coupon for one admission to an upcoming event at one of our historic homes . We just created a gift certificate for them.

Subject: [talk] Free Return Visit Program

For the past five years, we have run a program in which we visit local libraries, provide a hands-on program, and offer participants a free "field trip" to the museum, where we provide tickets and transportation, to lower the barrier to community visitation across our city. It has been somewhat successful, but it requires the family to be available on the days we offer the field trip.  We want to make it easier for families to visit, so we are considering pivoting to a model where participants receive something that grants them one-time free admission.

I am looking for others who run a similar program, where people who participate in one aspect of your site or programming are given return-visit incentives, and I am wondering how you operate logistically. Do you offer a card or a certificate of some kind? Is it just a code that can be used in person and online?

Thanks, all!
